The July WWPNA Board Meeting will be held on the regular first Tuesday, July 6th. The meeting will start at 6:30 PM at the Washington Street Community Center, 809 S. Washington.

2. Fourth of July in the Park!! Need volunteers for a couple of hours

The annual Fourth of July in the Park will again be held from 11-1PM. If you have time to volunteer either before, during or after that time for an hour or two (decorating, handing out drinks, clean-up, etc.) please contact Charlie Busch at 303-722-6220.

3. Liquor License Application - Isminis and’ Bobbys Corporation 8 Broadway

Type of License: Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License (This allows a full service bar and requires that a percentage of the income must come from food sales.)

The Public Hearing is scheduled for July 15, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at 201 West Colfax, Dept. 206. At the hearing the applicant must provide evidence that there is a need and desire for this license. Protesters can only testify on a lack of a need and desire for this license. Other reasons for not wanting the license such as lack of parking are not admissible in a liquor license hearing.

Posting of the notice of the hearing will occur at the premises on June 24, 2010. Beginning on that date, the applicant or any other person may begin to collect signatures to support or oppose the application. Petitions can only be signed by residents and property owners who live within an area of approximately 10 X 10 blocks of the site as indicated on a map provided by the department of Excise and Licenses.
