1. WASHINGTON PARK BOAT HOUSE PUBLIC MEETING – 10/22

Location: Washington Park Recreation Center, gym

Denver Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that the Washington Park Boat House is slated to be repaired and improved with funding from the Better Denver Bond program voted upon by Denver residents last fall. The project will include a range of repairs and improvements to better serve the uses in and around the building. Site improvements are anticipated for improved accessibility and circulation. Suitable uses for the lower floor of the Boat House will be considered in this design process.

Please join us at a public meeting to share your thoughts or concerns about the Washington Park Boat House and site.

2. TRICK OR TREAT STREET AT SOUTH HIGH – 10/28

South High School hosts Trick or Treat Street on Tuesday, October 28 from 4-6 p.m. Children from infant to 5th grade are welcome to participate. Cost is $3 per entrant, those under 2 are free. The event will take place in the new gym.

It's a bargain bonanza! The Washington Street Community Center will hold its twice annual Attic-To-Basement Garage Sale on Saturday November 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a community-wide garage sale with items gathered over the past six months. Come and find your treasure!

4. BURGLARIES IN WWP

Currently, the largest crime problem we are having in WWP is burglaries. Most of these have occurred when a door, window, or garage door is left open or unlocked. Please remember to close and lock when you are home or away.
