The April WWPNA Board Meeting will be held on the regular first Tuesday, April 6th. The meeting will start at 6:30 PM at the Washington Street Community Center, 809 S. Washington.

April 10, 2010 from 1PM - 4PM

Police Protective Association Event Center, 2105 Decatur Street

Please stop by to thank the Commander for his vision, superior leadership, and service to the residents of Police District 4.

Light Hors D’Oeuvres from 1-2pm and a Cash Bar.

Hosted by Neighborhood Organizations in Police District 4.

3. Washington Park Cares sponsors wellness clinics
**************************

This free, walk-in clinic will be staffed by a registered nurse provided by Dominican Home Health Services. The nurse will check blood pressures, weight measurement, diabetes checks and general health monitoring as well as health education.

Two sites will host the clinic on alternating Tuesdays, beginning April 6. University Park United Methodist Church (2180 S. University Boulevard) is providing space on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. Washington Street Community Center (809 S. Washington St.) will host on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Each clinic will take place from 1pm to 3pm. Volunteers from Washington Park Cares will staff the clinic to assist the nurse with administrative details and to provide information about Washington Park Cares. All those over age 55 are welcome.

5. WWPNA Annual Meeting/ Lincoln School and How to Throw a Block Party - 4/28

WWPNA's annual meeting will be on April 28th, starting at 6:30, held in the Lincoln Grade School cafeteria.

The topics for discussion will be the future of Lincoln Elementary and How to Throw a Block Party.

Please join us and help make your neighborhood a community!
