On Wednesday, May 10th at 1:30 pm, the City Council's Blueprint Denver committee is slated to discuss the demolition permitting process. A summary of this issue can be reviewed at http://www.denvergov.org/CouncilDistrict7/144news.asp#9981. Interested neighborhood activists may want to attend this meeting or watch it on Channel 8, as it will decide some very important questions regarding the proposed language of the ordinance. While this is not a forum for public comment, such events are a good opportunity for Council members to gauge the level of public interest and for community members to provide input while the draft language (and even whether an ordinance will ever reach the Council at large) remains undecided. For direct input, citizens may write to the Mayor and all their councilmembers. Contact information for all Denver elected officials can be found at Denver's elected officials page.
