In order to ensure fair procedures, the WWPNA board of directors has asked each committee chair to identify their voting members. While the qualifications for voting may vary by committee, basic qualifications include a willingness to serve, participation in meetings, and paid membership in WWPNA.

Using these qualifications, the current voting members of the 2006-07 History Committee are hereby identified as Debbie Jones, Gertie Grant, Ginny Gelbach, Kathryn Smith, Madeline Melichar, Rob Melichar, Deirdre Kieft, and Dave Burrell.

However, we also value our many other active committee members, including Alan Cooper, Aleta Cass, Anita Martin, Brad Patton, Debbie Spooner, Diana Dale, James Stratis, Karen Hinkel, Merce Lea, and SueLynn Gustafson. And because we appreciate their input, each will be eligible for 2006-07 voting privileges after attendance at just two consecutive meetings.

Given all this hoopla, it must be admitted that voting privileges on the History committee are pretty insubstantial. We don't vote on much, and expect rather few stands on issues of significant controversy.

As such, all interested parties are encouraged to attend our meetings and participate in our educational projects, discussions, and events - whether area residents, WWPNA members, or amateur historians. Rest assured as well that voting privileges will be reconsidered regularly, so no active, eligible member will be without the ability to cast his or her own relatively meaningless ballot in support our much more exciting enterprise in history and preservation.
