E-Waste Recycling Event Recap

On May 24th, 2021 WWPNA partnered with Royal Crest Dairy to hold an electronics waste recycling event. What a great turnout! Neighbors started lining up 15 minutes before the start time, and there was a steady flow for about 2 hours. 10+ volunteers worked the event, fueled by breakfast burritos and chocolate milk.

The waste was recycled by Sustainability, a local company who hires individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. They provided us with twelve 4 foot by 4 foot collection bins.

WE COLLECTED:

2,865lbs of e-waste

including 110lbs of alkaline batteries

and $326 in memberships and donations.

THANK YOU

Our sponsor Royal Crest Dairy helped make this event free to the community and allowed us to use their property on South Pearl Street.
