MiscellaneousDaniel Libeskind's ideas for Civic Center Park (June 15)Denver Parks and Recreation announces a Town Hall Meeting on June 15, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Denver Convention Center located at 700 14th Street to hear Daniel Libeskind’s conceptual ideas for Civic Center Park. The meeting, open to the general public, is intended to offer you an opportunity to hear first hand the ideas being considered for Civic Center. The Civic Center Conservancy, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving Civic Center park, has brought Daniel Libeskind to Denver to develop ideas and design concepts for Civic Center. This will be an extraordinary opportunity to participate in a dialog with the architect, representatives from Denver Parks and Recreation and the Civic Center Conservancy. Volunteers needed for Washington Park projects in MayThe Committee for Washington Park is seeking volunteers to help the park crews plant flowers in the Downing Street gardens Saturday, May 20th and Saturday May 27th. We will begin at 7:00 a.m. and go till 10 a.m. but any time you can come and help is great. Bring gloves, water, sun screen and a trowel. The crunch is on for the park maintenance crew and they have all they can do to stay ahead of the weeds, grass, and general maintenance.
