Denver Needs 1,000 MentorsThrough the METRO MENTOR CHALLENGE! the Youth Mentoring Collaborative is actively matching at-risk and homeless 5th and 6th graders and high school students with adult mentors. The Youth Mentoring Collaborative asks adults questions about their mentoring preferences. Then they match adults with member mentoring organizations that can provide mentoring opportunities that fit the adult's interests and availability. The Youth Mentoring Collaborative (YMC) is comprised of 15 nonprofit mentoring organizations and eight resource partners that share a united vision: To positively impact all Denver Metro area youth by providing more mentors through the collaboration of quality mentoring organizations. The YMC is sponsored by Bank of the West, Mile High United Way and the Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships.
