Unlocking Housing Choices Meeting #1
Tuesday, March 24 | 5:30-7:30 p.m. | Highland Recreation Center (2880 Osceola Street, Denver)
The Unlocking Housing Choices project team is excited to announce five upcoming public meetings where community members can learn about proposed zoning code updates to allow more missing middle housing in Denver’s residential neighborhoods.
These proposed changes would implement adopted plan guidance for expanding missing middle housing citywide with an emphasis on preserving existing structures, adding more attainable units and ensuring new development is compatible with existing neighborhoods. Middle housing refers to small multi-unit developments like triplexes, quadplexes, tandem houses and cottage courts.
Public Meetings Scheduled for March and April
The team will host five public meetings to present draft proposals in late March and early April. Four meetings will be in person at locations around the city, and one meeting will be held virtually. All of the meetings will feature the same content and agenda, starting with an open house for the first 30 minutes, followed by a presentation and Q&A from the project team. Meeting dates and locations will be as follows:
To help them better plan for these meetings, they are asking attendees to RSVP to the meeting(s) that is most convenient to them.
